| First I'd like to say thank you all you who IMed, called, left messages, came by, and went out for my birthday. I really had a great time! We played cards at my parent's house until about midnight, then stopped by Daniel's to hang out with the guys for a little while, and finally went to the Blind Pig to see River County. After the show, we went to Nena's and partied until 7 a.m. Nena, Jake, Chris and I all went to Don Pablo's for lunch Sunday, and I got phone call that my dad was in the hospital.....
He had been acting funny all day, my mom said, but when she went to check on him he looked as if he were having an insulin reaction. As my mom tried to get his sugar up, he had a violent seizure, and was rushed to the emergency ward. They ran a few tests, and saw a "blur" on one of the brain scans. They're keeping him for another night, and monitoring him closely unitl they get the results back and everything is okay. He was sitting up today and had color back in his face, but he's still a little loopy. It was really scary for them both.
While at the hospital, I got a chance to clear some air with Doug, Mike, and Leslie. Thought it wasn't the best place for a heart-to-heart, it happend, and we all felt like something was resolved a little. Well, that was my weekend, and birthday story..... |
